To enroll in our program, our center needs the following:

• Copy of the child's most updated shot records
• Wellness check from a physician declaring the child healthy enough to attend school
• Completed registration packet including child and family information, tuition agreement, and other parent authorized permissions 
• Paid registration fee and first week’s tuition
• Follow the link below to download and print registration contents before your tour

• Each child must have documented immunization records; a notice will be provided to you on required immunization updates
• Each child is required to have a physician authorization of wellness to participate
• Prescription medication will be administered at A Child’s World only from a prescription container with a child-proof lid, which has the child’s name, prescriber, dosage and frequency of administration, AND
• When the parent completes a Medication Authorization Form which is available at the school and is to be given directly to a staff member.
• Over the counter medications as per Washoe County regulations can be administered only with written physician authorization which includes the student’s name, medication, dosage, and frequency of administration.
• All medications are to be given to staff for secure storage; they are prohibited from being in your child’s bag, cubby, or lunch box.

Forms in the Registration Packet are available for you to authorize field trips, walking field trips, and emergency transportation. By signing these forms, you are authorizing your child to take field trips with staff supervision, authorizing transportation for field trips and transportation in case of emergency, disaster, or evacuation. Any transportation- based field trip will have an individual authorization with purpose of field trip, date, and itinerary.

A Child’s World is open from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday except for the Holidays listed on the attached holiday schedule. All children must be picked up by 6:00 PM. There will be a late fee of one dollar per minute if you are late.  If a child is not picked up on time, every attempt will be made to locate the parents or other authorized emergency contacts. If a parent cannot be contacted and notification has not been received, Washoe County Human Services Agency will be notified as licensing regulations require.

A Child’s World welcomes all children regardless of race, creed, religion, or national origin. The school also reserves the right to exclude children who may be dangerous to themselves or other children, and those whose behavior becomes so disruptive as to interfere with the learning of the other children. Every possible attempt will be made to resolve such issues with children and parents. In such instances the behavior problems will be documented, and referrals will be provided to the parents of the services available in the community. We reserve the right to refuse service at any time.

An annual registration fee of $100.00 is due at the time of enrollment or to hold a waiting list position.  This fee is a non-refundable and non-transferrable administration fee.  This fee is recurring every September beginning the calendar year following enrollment. 

Payment of tuition is required on the Friday for the next week. If payment is not made by Wednesday of the current week there will be a $15.00 late fee charged to your account. We accept checks, cash, and cards at the school. Payments by check must have the dates of service and the child’s name in the lower left-hand corner. There will be a $35.00 fee on any returned checks or debits. We also have an option for automatic payments. To sign up for an automatic payment plan fill out an automatic payment form in the office. Automatic payments are billed on Tuesday every week.

If at some point you wish to withdraw your child from the program or change their schedule, you must notify us in writing, two weeks in advance. Otherwise, charges will continue to accumulate while we hold a place for your child.

A Child’s World tuition fees are based on full attendance. No fee credit is given for holidays or sick days. Those who pay on a weekly basis are given two regular weeks’ worth of vacation credits to utilize at their discretion. The number of absent credits is based on the number of days your child attends our center. For example, if your child attends 5 days per week then you will receive 10 absent credits per year, 4 days per week is given 8 absent credits, or 3 days is 6 absent credits. The vacation credits are granted one year from the time of enrollment. Vacation that is not used in one year will be forfeited. Families who pay monthly do not receive a vacation credit because under a monthly payment agreement you receive a four week per year discount in tuition.
