Our Difference

Several things separate A Child's World from all other preschools and child care centers.

We are led by a team of experts in child development, education, family systems, parenting and mental health. We also have several teachers with bachelors or masters degrees. Our program was developed by Owner, Dr Art Willans, to provide a learning experience for young children that is positive, engaging, and optimal for development.

Heidi Schuett is celebrating over 15 years of experience working with children and serving families. Since 2004 she has worked with ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age. She has an AA in Early Childhood Education and has developed her skills and experience ever since.

Dr. Art Willans holds a bachelor and master of science in education and a Ph. D. in Developmental and Child Psychology. He operates A Child's World Pre-school and Child Development Center where he has refined his revolutionary methods for teaching children.

About Our Classrooms

Terrific Tots

Our Terrific Tots classroom is intended for children between 24 and 30 months of age. Among a small group of children your child will learn about their shapes, colors, numbers, and language skills through activities developed by their wonderful teacher.

Leaping Learners

The Leaping Learners class is optimized for potty training children so that they will be prepared to enter our three-year-old classroom. Along with potty training, children continue to build on knowledge of shapes, colors, numbers, and language.

Super Stars

In the Super Star classroom your young three-year-old will take many steps to prepare for Pre-Kindergarten learning. Teachers construct daily lessons to build classroom etiquette, early literacy, writing, math, and science skills.

Very Important Kids

This is the first step in our Pre-Kindergarten program. In our Very Important Kids (or V.I.K.) classroom three-and-a-half to four-year-old children will receive instruction on problem solving, letter recognition, fine motor control, and observing their world in order to make scientific discoveries.

Creative Beginners

The Creative Beginners classroom is our Pre-K  to Pre-First group where children follow a kindergarten and first grade readiness program. Students will practice math skills, reading and writing, and the scientific method.

School Age

We offer a before and after school program which includes transportation services  as well as interactive school break camps for elementary kids up to age eight.
