What will my child be learning?

Teachers work on a weekly basis to create activities and lessons tailored to the needs and development of children in their class. Our curriculum follows Nevada Early Childhood and Pre-K Standards. Lessons are made to teach shapes, colors, letter & number recognition, early literacy and writing skills, early math and science skills, as well as fine motor, gross motor, and social-emotional skills.

Do you take child care subsidy?

Yes we do! A Child's World is a provider for the Children's Cabinet subsidy program. Contact Northern Nevada Children's Cabinet at (775) 856-6200 for more information.

We also accept Inter-Tribal Council Child Care Development Funds. Contact the  Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada  at  (775) 355-0600 if you have questions about eligibility.

Does A Child's World serve lunch?

We ask that parents provide lunch for their child. We are able to microwave lunches that need to be re-heated, and we have fridge space so you can pack cold lunches.

We do provide morning and afternoon snack.

What is the schedule?

We open at 6:30 am and close at 6:00 pm  Monday- Friday.

Everyone in the school is at nap/rest time by 1:00 pm and we begin to encourage kids to wake up at 3:00 pm. Lunch is scheduled in every classroom from 12:00 pm-12:30 pm.

Children have outside time at least once a day, and up to three times a day, weather permitting.
