Pre-School Classrooms

Terrific Tots

Our Terrific Tots classroom is intended for children between 24 and 30 months of age. Among a small group of children your child will learn about their shapes, colors, numbers, and language skills through activities developed by their wonderful teacher.

Leaping Learners

The Leaping Learners class is optimized for potty training children so that they will be prepared to enter our three-year-old classroom. Along with potty training, children continue to build on knowledge of shapes, colors, numbers, and language.

Super Stars

In the Super Star classroom your young three-year-old will take many steps to prepare for Pre-Kindergarten learning. Teachers construct daily lessons to build classroom etiquette, early literacy, writing, math, and science skills.

Very Important Kids

This is the first step in our Pre-Kindergarten program. In our Very Important Kids (or V.I.K.) classroom three-and-a-half to four-year-old children will receive instruction on problem solving, letter recognition, fine motor control, and observing their world to make scientific discoveries.

Our Curriculum

The curriculum is professionally planned to meet the educational and developmental needs of children. Since all children are unique, many choices are made available for children to pursue. Children are encouraged to try all the activities that are available. Group activities are implemented within the curriculum so that children can learn to function in a group setting. We actively teach cooperation, turn taking, attention to teacher instruction, and consideration of others.

Playing is a natural avenue toward learning. Whether a child is playing independently, along-side other children, or cooperatively with other children, the child is learning. Our materials, games, toys, activities, and child supervision practices are all designed to promote learning and minimize distress in the educational process.

Additional to our educational programs, your child(ren) will be assessed within the first 3 months and at least twice per year to monitor and support learning and development. Portfolios are updated throughout the year with several samples of your child’s curriculum, testing materials, observations, and other assessments that will aide in monitoring and supporting development.

We do not use television as a method of entertaining or occupying children. In our opinion, preschool is too expensive for you to be paying money to have your children watch more television. Instead, we will plan activities, and actively find ways to teach your children.

Children learn by doing. Therefore, the best education involves letting the children do for themselves. Our teachers will teach children how to cut, paste, fold, color, and hundreds of other skills and then encourage the children in their own efforts.
